Test Yourself
Most people do not realize that becoming a Christian requires more than just attending services once a week, reading the Bible occasionally, follow a few commandments and changing a few bad habits.
When we first meet someone most of us weigh the costs of any type of relationship with that person. Generally, without even realizing it, we size up the situation mentally, emotionally, and even financially. Everyone has thrown caution to the wind and regretted a decision at one point or another and lost the opportunity of a life time or became scarred from it.
There is a lot more to consider when contemplating a decision that can effect your present life, your future on earth, as well as where you will be spending eternity.
To be a Christian is to be in a very personal relationship and at the same time experience a change of habits, lifestyle, goals, desires, and more.
To be a doctor, fireman, lawyer, paramedic, carpenter, teacher, or even a chef one must spend years studying the profession and pass the test to receive the credentials that prove they are competent to hold that position.
The Scribes and Pharisees required such certification to prove to the general public that they knew and lived within the acceptable guidelines of the faith. However, Jesus, the one who passes out the grades, determines a disciple’s qualification on the state of their hearts, every word that comes out of their mouths, the level of faith, and the acts of obedience.
The Bible tells us that, we too, must test ourselves to see if we are one of His disciples. We read in 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NASB) “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?”
There appears to be six areas that are essential in a Christians life that a disciple must adhere to in order claim, without a doubt, in word and deed, before God and everyone, that they are passing the test with straight A’s. We do not decide what is required, God does. Get out your Bible, look up each of these 30 verses to see if you pass His test.
After going through all of these verses, can you honestly say that you pass the test with flying colors?
If not, then at least, you now know what areas of your walk need improvement and prayer.

The Bible says we must study to show ourselves approved! 2 Timothy 2:15
Do you know what we as Homeward Bound Pilgrims believe?
We are not a COC although we agree with many of their beliefs but walk narrower path.
We all have questions, and it would take us years to create all the data that is wonderfully
covered at Truth For The World, (TFTW).
We are promoting their site so we all benefit!
If you hunger for the Word of God and want more by reading,
watching videos or listening on-line then the BEST place is at TFTW.
They've compiled an extensive 'Question & Answer Booklet',
COC related Bible courses, outreaches, as well as their respective answers.
We hope it will be a blessing to you, and will aid in your walk along the path.
