About Church Services & Bible Studies
The study style we use is for those who are believers, or believe that they want a closer walk with God, are, or want to learn how to obey the call to the Great Commission. This Bible Study is wonderful... because it allows you to present it as you wish, tweak it if necessary, and use as a solo study in with as many as you desire. It is told in words all can understand with a male voice of gentle authority. Because it is so flexible we were able to insert at the proper places some vital points, about more than a few areas, that need presented, giving those that use this study full biblical truths. For this reason offer you the included 1-3 additional related verses that relate to all 74 studies, for support and clarification. We present these additional scriptures under the heading; 'Look again'. We do try to stay as close to the original presentation guide as we use this program for both our Sunday Service and one-on-one Bible studies. Go here to find and copy the Master link to our supporting verses in order to share with others.
We use these studies for our home worship services on Sundays and in small groups of between two and twelve people. (As soon as possible after the second study we give this Meeting Guideline to different folks in attendance who have been sharing these studies with others as 'homework' to chair the meeting as a way to start training new disciples to take the reigns.)
Welcoming
While warming up we find out (1)what brought joy to the people, (2) what brought them stress, and (3) how they got on with the actions they said they would do in the previous study.
Opening Prayer
If this is a Sunday service we take the Lords Supper at this time, otherwise we just pray that all in attendance will have hears to hear, and sing a hymn.
Hearing is Believing the Story
We allow plenty of time to read or play the passage.
Contemplation & Recitation
We re-read it as many times as necessary until the group is able to retell it all.
Q&A
We give everyone a chance to answer each of the 4 questions. By searching the scriptures as the Bereans, scripture with scripture, line upon line, we then ask if the study and presented verses remind them of any other related Bible verses. (We interject the ones from our 30+ page of Suggested Scriptures that show supporting verses on each study, plus a Hebrew / Georgian Calendar that will help with aligning scripture to the months of Christ's birth and death, which we will be making available for a donation of $1 by the end of August 2020 and it may be copied and used by anyone.)
Staying Focused
If someone's answer does not relate to the passage we 'gently' and 'respectfully' ask "Where do you see that in the passage?"
Closing
In closing we pray thankful for all in attendance, that their needs will be met, and their path maid straight, then sing a hymn.
