WHY WE HAVE A 'FREE' WEB-SITE
Weebly is a free website builder that allows us, and anybody else, to build their own websites quickly and with ease.
It is a very popular platform, and has more than 12 million registered users for one very simple reason –
Weebly is a free website builder, and it’s so super easy to use. This free website builder allows anyone to build beautiful websites in a very short period of time – even if you do not have any programming background. If you have aspirations to create business websites, e-commerce websites, blogs or just general interest websites, birth or wedding announcements, Weebly is an ideal free website builder for you.
All that is well and good but our church needs a web site. It’s that simple. This media-driven world may be a bewildering place, and a church Web site may seem complicated and expensive, unless you are smart and use Weebly. But still, we believe our church needs a Web site. Here’s why.
1. A church Web-site usually brings people to your church. If someone wants to find a church in your area, how are they going to find it? If your first answer is, “Check the Yellow Pages,” you’re wrong. Most people go straight to Google search or Google Maps... and that is probably how you found us if you did not get a personal invitation.
2. A church Web-site connects people. Fellowship takes place even when people aren’t physically together. Church Web sites give both strangers and members a way to learn, study, find entertainment, interact and fellowship throughout the week. This kind of interaction helps build unity.
3. A church Web-site organizes church events. Church Web sites help people stay up to date with our church’s events— Services on the first day of the week,(2 pm) study groups (by appointment), and fellowship potlucks(after services on the fifth first day of the week).
4. A church Web-site answers questions about the church. People have all kinds of questions about churches. Singing?(YES) Nursery? (NO) Denomination? (NO) Bible version? (ALL) Lords Supper? (YEA! Every first day of the week!) Handicap accessible? (Absolutely!) How can we answer all of these questions? Two words: church Web-site.
5. A church Web site is the church’s testimony. Within seconds of accessing our church Web site, a person forms opinions about our church—for better or worse. A good Web site is a great way to communicate a good testimony.
6. A church Web site broadcasts our message, God's message, globally. Instantly—without buying a ticket, experiencing jet lag, or eating airline food, our church can reach as far as Europe, Asia, or Africa. Regardless of its size, our church can spread its message, God's message, worldwide.
7. A church Web-site saves you money on advertising. Everyone wants the biggest bang for the buck when it comes to advertising or marketing. Church Web-sites are way more visible and far less expensive than any other form of church advertising. Using this free WEEBLY account removes the burden from all members of the body, yet can benefit each and every one of them.
8. A church Web-site stores our media. A church Web site gives us a digital media library. Storing various sermon recordings of like minded sources online is a great way to increase the longevity and reach of sermons, teachings, training, and wholesome family recreation.
9. A church Web-site increases most church’s income. People pay their bills online, invest their money online, and read their bank statements online. However, we are not like most churches that ask their congregation to 'tithe or give' online? We stick to the New Testament scriptures that teach it is from the abundance of the heart, on the first day of the week, when we are gathered together, that the needs of the body are addressed and funds for such are collected if possible. On the web-site (NO). But praise reports are posted on occasion if any member so desires.
10. A church Web-site gives our church the relevance necessary to communicate today. This generation has witnessed the launch of the digital age. Creating a church Web-site is the primary means of jumping on the information superhighway and reaching our generation for Christ.
If you have any suggestions that we can improve or make additions to this site we are all ears, and sometimes doers, in this regard. LOL!
